Meet the teacher!

Hello! My name is Amy Connell and I'm going to be your child's second-grade teacher. My experience includes four years teaching 1st grade, four years teaching 2nd grade,  five years teaching 3rd grade, and one year teaching 4th grade Math. This will be my fourteenth year teaching and my seventh year at LCES. 

I graduated from the University of Mississippi with my Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education in 2008. 

I am married to my wonderful husband Mikel. We have been married 7 years. We have two beautiful children. . We also have  three dogs named Levi, Wrangler, and Chloee.

 In my free time, I love to ride horses and run.

• In your browser, navigate to:  https://desotoms.schoology.com/home
• Enter your credentials:
  • Username:  Students' usernames are constructed using the following formula:  First initial of first name, + last 6 digits of their lunch number.
    • Example:  If Amy King's lunch number is 1234567, her DCS User account/email address is ak234567@dcsms.org
  • Password:  The password is the same as your computer password and is your school mascot + your date of birth (mmddyy).
    • Example:  Your school is Lake Cormorant, and your birthday is July 8, 2014, your password is Gators070814
