Experience

After several years as an assistant teacher and substitute teacher, I received my teaching degree in 2006, and began teaching first grade at Horn Lake Elementary.  I taught there for five years, but transferred to Lake Cormorant Elementary to be closer to my residence.  I  then taught fifth grade for several years before accepting the position of Teacher Interventionist/Title 1 Director at LCES.  In this position, I taught fourth and fifth graders using an intensified reading program and organized information and events for the school.  I then was blessed with the opportunity to teach 3rd grade for six years.  Beginning the 2023-24 school year, God has led me to teach 4th grade.  I am very excited about this opportunity!. LCES is the best!!

 Bio:

Although I was born in Alaska, I have been a resident of Mississippi for about three decades and consider myself a true "Mississippian". God has blessed me with a wonderful family.  My children are grown and married now, but we get together as often as possible. I enjoy camping and traveling with my husband and relaxing at our home with our horses and daily duties.. I love teaching and consider it a passion and a reward!
