About the Teacher/Welcome Msg

My name is Charlotte Wade, and I teach kindergarten at LCES.  As a graduate of the University of Mississippi, I have a bachelor's degree in elementary education and am highly qualified to teach English and Social Studies through 12th grade. My passion is teaching children. LCES, I taught fourth grade at SIS and sixth grade for six years at Southaven Middle School. I was an assistant at  Greenbrook Elementary for seven years, with five years in kindergarten, and two years as the computer teacher.

I love children and consider it an honor to teach yours.  I have twin boys, Brandon and Brent.  I also have one granddaughter, Reece and two grandsons, Diesel and Leif. I am excited to get to know each child I teach.

Should you need to contact me at any time, please use the e-mail or phone the school and leave a message.  The best way to reach me is via e-mail since I can check my account periodically throughout the day. Your child's interest is very important to me. I want to keep an open line of communication.  I will update my web page often with important information, skills, announcements, and homework.  Please check this often.

Experience: I began my career as an assistant teacher at Greenbrook Elementary when my twin boys began first grade.  I developed a love for teaching after working with kindergarten students for five years.  I then taught the computer lab for two years as I went back to school to earn my teaching degree.  I student taught half a year in second grade and the other half of the year in third grade.  My first teaching position was in sixth grade at Southaven Middle School where I taught Language Arts for six years, then fourth grade at SIS.  I look forward to being back in kindergarten and loving your child.

Bio: I am a life long resident of DeSoto County and have worked my entire career for DCS. I previously taught as a teacher assistant at Greenbrook Elementary, a sixth grade teacher at Southaven Middle, and taught fourth grade at SIS.  I am the mother of twin boys, and a grandmother.  Children are my life, and teaching is my passion. I love being outdoors and playing with my animals.
